If you are looking for a realtor to buy or sell a home I cannot recommend Jonathan Bagg and Lois Houghton more highly. They provided us with excellent service in our effort to find a home in St. Augustine. Jonathan was available to show us homes at our convenience. He was very familiar with the area and did not hesitate to offer opinions about value and price. He listened carefully to what we liked and didn’t like. He never pressured us and worked with our time schedule and needs. After we selected a home we fell in love with, Lois and Jonathan provided us with knowledgeable expertise that helped us with tricky issues connected to purchasing a short sale home. Dear Jonathan and Lois, When Diane and I first decided to attempt to sell our home in Sea Colony, we did so knowing we were entering one of the worst down real-estate markets in recent history. To make it even more of a challenge, Sea Colony has one of the highest percentage of homes for sale than any other community that I can think of. Needless to say, Diane and I fully expected that our home would sit on the market, with all of the other homes for sale in Sea Colony, for at least a year, maybe two. Because of these unprecedented challenges, our choice of Realtors was very important to us. From the first day we met both of you and during the interview process, your knowledge of the market place, your professionalism and your proposed approaches to the challenge of selling our home in this market, let us immediately know we made the right choice in Realtors. Then you both went to work; Prior to setting a listing price for our home you took the time to conduct an in depth and thorough research of the most current market statistics to make sure that we set an aggressive, but realistic, listing price for our home. Our scheduled periodic update meetings at our home included not only our community’s sales activities but also the sales activities in our general market. Those meetings were informative and it let us know we were priced where we needed to be. Your willingness and desire to have weekly open houses at the expense of your Sundays, even when many times no one came through the house, also impressed Diane and me. It's been just over a year since I met Lois on Coastal Hwy while I was working. I told her what me and my wife were looking for and within two months she and Jonathan pointed us in the right directions and had us in a contract. It took almost four more months before we closed because the house we wanted was a short sale.
