I love Sholar Center!
After having eye and neck surgery about a year ago, I cannot say enough about Dr. Sholar and her amazing staff. My left eye would not co-operate and Dr. Sholar's patience, knowledge, and skills have prevailed! Marc literally held my hand thru this whole thing. My daughter, Lisa, made me buy a bright, teal blue, jacket for an upcoming wedding, and I was very uncomfortable wearing it. However, Dr. Sholar has always told me not to be afraid of color...at any age. So I bit the bullet, wore it, and walked proud. During the wedding reception, I saw family and friends that I have not seen for years. At first glance, some thought I WAS my daughter, Lisa! I have never gotten so many compliments... I have grandchildren ranging in age 28 to 6yrs! I would recommend Dr Sholar and the Sholar Center to anyone that wants to feel better about themselves, and look and feel... more
Hello. I am a 28 yr old, female. I had my BA on March 5th. A little over 2 wks post-op now and I look and feel amazing!!! :) First I would like to say yes, I would definitely do business again with the Sholar Center! They were wonderful to me and my husband both and treated us as if we were friends! Very respectful and kind, also very helpful with anything we had to question! The staff is friendly, understanding, courteous! My nurse, Shawn, one word... AMAZING!! :) Absolutely love her!! I chose the Sholar Center for many reasons, mostly because of feeling so comfortable with Dr. Sholar! She made me feel as if I was her family or close friend! She listened to my every question/concern!! She took the time out that other doctors would not have done, or in my experience, have EVER done, to listen! And believe me. I had A LOT! This was my very first surgery so of course I would have a lot to question! Any how, I felt great with my decision and wouldn't change that for the world! To anyone out there who is looking to have this done, please be sure to, at least, give her a chance! My personal opinion... When you are looking to have something so detailed and cosmetic done to your body, Money should not alter your decision or even be an issue!! You pay for what you get!! If you want to look and feel amazing about yourself and have great care and treatment at the the same time... Then you can't go wrong with Dr. Sholar and the girls!! :) I know I didn't! The only time we ever had an issue, which actually turned out kind of funny, was we had received a letter in the mail just a few days after my procedure, it was kind of confusing the way it was written, but explained that Dr. Sholar would be opening a practice in Texas. So my husband, reading this, became pretty upset, thinking she was gone for good and was just leaving her patients behind! (lol). He called (still pretty upset) ... Long story short... They explained to us this did not mean she is leaving here... She will be doing both! Once we got that cleared up, we laughed it off and that was that!! ;) He still feels bad to this day for taking that letter out of its true meaning! But all he cared about was that I was going to be taken care of and not passed off to a doctor who didn't perform the surgery... And that's how it is! She is still here, still my doc, still as lovely and sweet as ever! Needless to say... We are very pleased with the Sholar Center, VERY happy with the results, thankful for the care and treatment from the staff, and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to have this procedure done! I LOVE DR. SHOLAR!!! As a result of getting my ears pierced, I suffered from huge keliods on the back of both of my ears. Before meeting Dr. Sholar. I had previously had two correction surgeries by a different doctor. Which only made them grow back larger and more painful. They were so large and painful that I couldn’t lay my head or neck on a pillow at night. Another doctor referred me to Dr. Sholar and I had a consultation. From that moment on I trusted her and knew that she would be able to help me. She had a plan right from the start, and was one of the most confident doctors I had ever met! She went ahead and performed the removal surgery. Keliods usually reform and re occur within 7 months after surgery. Well it has now almost been three years, and my ears look great! No reoccurrence at all! I had not been able to wear a ponytail for six years and I can now! I would highly recommend the Sholar Center for any procedure they offer that you are contemplating. After much consideration, I finally made the decision to consult a physician to perform a breast lift with a little additional volume. After asking around, Dr. Sholar came highly recommended. After meeting her and her staff, I knew that this would be the facility that I would allow to perform my surgery. From day one to now (followup visits) every visit, consultation, surgery day and recovery was amazing. I love Dr. Sholar and her entire staff. Before I had my (FFS)Facial Surgery in Oct, 2011 from Dr. Sholar, I searched the web for websites that would give me the information I needed. The Sholar Center web site gave me the most comprehensive and detailed descriptions for their services I found across the U.S. and the globe for that matter. The web pages were beautifully presented and I was impressed by their professionalism. That is one of the main reasons that influenced my decision to see Dr. Alina Sholar about my surgery. After many consults with other physicians, Dr. Sholar really made me feel the most comfortable and confident in my choice. She listened to what I wanted and I am pretty positive I couldn't of had a better surgeon. She did such a great job on my breast augmentation and kept to her word that she is a perfectionist and would make me look still proportional. I absolutely love the Skinprint Plump Pout. It really works for me - It was purchased in November 2011. I have used it every day and am still using the same bottle - three months later! I also ordered the personalized Skinprint process which will arrive this week. After having my face analyzed, the Skinprint products I needed were customized for my needs. It was found that I needed a cleanser, lotion, bio-peptide and recover with 2% HQ. Not sure what all that means, but I'm anxious to give it a try. I'll let you know how the Skinprint system works out for me! It might cost a little more to keep us beautiful, but ladies, WE ARE WORTH... more
After having many different consultations for breast augmentation the Sholar center was my final choice! The staff is excellent and more thorough than any place I've been too! Dr. Sholar remembers her patients and goes above and beyond to satisfy the wants/needs of her patients! I am beyond satisfied with my surgery and have since referred 2 friends! My main reason for choosing Dr Sholar was how informative she was and she made me understand that she can't change natural imperfections, she also uses sizers to see what fits your body best, instead of choosing 2 of the same sizes for both! I told her to go as big as she could without them looking fake, and she did an amazing job! No one ever knows my breast are "fake" and I take that as a huge compliment! Looking back, 42 years was really to long to wait to remedy a problem that's bothered me all of my adult life. When I finally decided to act I researched surgeons on the web. I knew right away that Dr. Sholar was the one for me. From the moment I walked into her beautiful facility I felt warmly welcomed by the receptionist, nurses, office staff, and of course Alina too. I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Sholar and her staff at the Sholar Center. I made the decision to have a "tummy tuck" and had visited four different plastic surgeons for consultations. I found Dr. Sholar and her staff to be the most informative, as well as the most thorough in explaining the procedure and giving me an honest evaluation of my end result. Although making the decision to have a tummy tuck took me about three years, after speaking with Dr. Sholar I felt very comfortable and confident in her knowledge and expertise. I am now thrilled that I finally have the TIGHT, FLAT tummy that I always wanted and can now wear the two piece bikinis that I could never have worn before. Dr. Sholar even made me a new "belly button" which looks so natural, ridding me of the "unsightly" belly button I had before. I stand in front of the mirror sometimes and think, "that can't be my body"!! It has made such a difference in how I feel in my clothes. After my surgery another plastic surgeon saw my tummy and told me it was the best "tummy tuck" he had ever seen and asked me the name of the doctor who did my surgery! It was over two years ago when Dr. Sholar performed a breast reduction for me. It was a long battle with the insurance company for them to understand that this was a medical condition and would agree to cover the breast reduction surgery. Dr. Sholar and her staff was wonderful toward me. She sat down with me and we went through all the problems I was having due to my “huge” problem. She even mentioned a few issues that I was having that I never related to having large breasts. Dr. Sholar answered all my questions and made me feel so at ease. It took me years to build up the confidence to talk with a doctor about being so large. The insurance did finally agree to cover the surgery. The results of Dr. Sholar’s work are fantastic. I couldn't believe how much better I felt and how much better I looked. Now, two years later, I still feel wonderful. May of the problems I was having before are gone. (not to mention going shopping is a lot more fun now that clothes fit like they should) I love the size I am now, and would just like to thank Dr. Sholar and every one that was involved. I met Dr. Sholar in July 2007, right after being diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I was trying to get my medical team together and had visited another recommended plastic surgeon who had been treating Evansville women for years. I didn't quite connect with him and felt he wasn't quite understanding the situation from my perspective. My oncologist, Dr. Stephens, said he had heard about this female plastic surgeon that was relatively new in town - but for sure the only female. Did I want to see if he could get me in? That began a long and rewarding relationship.... Alina is not only my doctor, but truly my friend as well. She helps you understand what is happening, what she will be doing to fix it, and shows you she cares about you the entire time. We have been through many battles these past 3+ years and with each one I know that I have the best team helping me make it through. She has surrounded herself with the best! Robin, Marq, Shawn, Jamie, Susie, Adrienne and of course Buddy too! I have been helped or treated by them all. Besides the breast reconstruction and follow-up treatments, I get my skin treated there. I know they understand what the ongoing challenges of taking a cancer control drugh for 5 years has on my skin. My immune system can't fight off the skin damage accumulated over the years, so Dr. Sholar treats my frequent outbreaks of skin cancer. She also provides the guidence on which vitamins and minerals I should take to help my immune system fight this unfortunate situation. Jamie is the BEST massage therapist I have ever had...she helps keep my skin in check too by treating it with many skills she is trained to perform. I get my hair done there, because it too is affected in many ways by the continuing drugs and Adrienne understands how to manage it. I am not the only family member that has been seen and treated by Dr. Sholar and her team - my son and daughter-in-law came home (from AZ) to help me through my chemo treatments and while here had laser treatments so that they don't have to shave any more. When my grandson started showing signs of skin problems at the age of 4, my daughter took him to Dr. Sholar. She had been through all of my previous processes with me, so she knew Dr. Sholar was the best and that is what she wanted for her son. I wanted a breast augmentation for years, but was always too scared. I finally made an appointment for a consultation with Dr. Sholar after she was highly recommended by friends. Over two years ago, I had several proceedures done at another clinic. Dr. Sholar was not available at the time, so others did my work. Just recently my husband started going to Sholar & told me I needed to go see her. I had an incision that never healed properly & other areas that needed to be corrected. So I went in for a consult & after speaking with her, I could hardly wait to start! She is so confident & was sincere about helping me look great! I had scheduled a face lift for Nov. 09..in Sept I had a bicycle wreck and landed mainly on my face..needless to say the surgery had to be cancelled. Immediately upon leaving the hospital I went to Dr. Sholar's office. I was treated immediately. I cannot express how much kindness was shown to me, not only from Dr. Sholar, but from everyone in her office. I had the face lift in Jan. and have been very pleased with the results. I had the best experience a person could possibly have at Scholar Center. I had a breast reduction surgery and I was scared to death when I went for my first appointment. They soon had me feeling really relaxed and I could not have been in better hands. My surgery went off with no complications and the one on one attention couldnt be beat.
